摘要

On Oct. 27, Peter Jorge E. Voces fell into the Gulf of Mexico while working on a production platform 55 miles south of Freshwater Bayou, Louisiana. The US Coast Guard recovered his body two days later near the platform, pinned under wreckage on the seabed. A citizen of the Republic of the Philippines, Voces became the fourth Filipino worker killed off the coast of Louisiana in a little less than a year. About 154 miles from where Voces died, three Filipinos were killed and three others seriously injured after an explosion and fire ripped through an oil platform in November 2012 (NGW Nov.26'12).
