Committee Report Pushes US Gas Reserves Estimates Up by 487 Tcf

The Potential Gas Committee (PGC), a non-profit organization with ties to the natural gas industry has increased its estimate of future US gas supplies by more than 20% compared with its previous estimate two years ago. The increase reflects a particularly large upward adjustment of the recoverable natural gas resources in the mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions, which includes the prolific Marcel-lus Shale gas play in Pennsylvania and adjoining states.
