Colorado Producers Take State toCourt Over New Oil and Gas Rules

In hopes of getting a slew of new oil and gas industry regulations overturned, the Colorado Oil and Gas Associa tion (Coga) is taking the state to court after concluding that agencies violated administrative laws in six ways when the regulations were developed last year. In a com plaint filed in Denver District Court last week, the trade group claims state agencies failed to consider a range of economic consequences that the rules could bring and pro vided misleading figures on how much funding the regula tions will require to implement.
