Armed With Private Capital, ex-EQT Execs Form Driller Lola Energy

At a time when most shale producers are pulling up stakes until natural gas prices rebound, a group of former EQT executives is ramping up for a drilling spree in the Marcellus and Utica Shales. Backed by more than 100 years of cumulative experience and $250 million of private equity from Denham Capital, newly formed Lola Energy has begun acquiring acreage in the two gas-rich basins with the intent of launching drilling operations in the next six to 18 months.
