NGSA: Industrial Gas Demand Up With Gradual Economic Recovery

US industrial natural gas demand is not only expected to break free from its slump of the past two years, but also emerge as the primary source of demand growth in the marketplace over the next six months. The uptick in industrial gas demand could be seen in sectors in which consumption started to drop off significantly in the latter half of 2008, including the production of primary metals, paper, clay, glass and cement, according to an analysis released by the Natural Gas Supply Association last week.
