Linn Energy Sells Gassy Oklahoma Assets to Enervest, FourPoint JV

Linn Energy said it will raise $2.3 billion through two separate deals in which it is selling assets in the Granite Wash and Cleveland plays of western Oklahoma and in the Permian Basin of West Texas. Most of that sum — $1.95 billion — will come from the sale of acreage and related midstream assets in Oklahoma to private equity firm Enervest and its joint venture partner FourPoint Energy.
