Hypertrophic pachymeningitis and cerebral infarction resulting from ANCA-associated vasculitis

Involvement of the nervous system is relatively rare in idiopathic antineutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV), and only sporadic case reports of hypertrophic pachymeningitis (HP) and involvement of cerebral parenchyma have been documented. The clinical features of this systemic disease have not been fully recognized.
