Russia, Slovenia Set Up South Stream JV

Russian gas giant Gazprom has set up a joint venture with Slovenian gas company Geoplin to build the Slovenian section of the South Stream gas pipeline. The document establishing South Stream Slovenia - to be owned 50-50 - was signed by Gazprom chief Alexei Miller and his Geoplin counter- part Marjan Eberlinc in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana on Mar. 22 during Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s visit to Slovenia.
