Gazprom Neft Gets More Domestic Loans

Russia’s Gazprom Neft, still barred from Western financing due to sanctions, last week signed another deal with state-controlled Sberbank to procure finance for major projects. Under a memorandum of intent signed by Gazprom Neft and Sberbank, the parties agreed to collaborate on a program for procuring equipment with a limit of up to 35 billion rubles ($5.5 billion), which will help develop infrastructure for the Novy Port field on the Yamal Peninsula. The equipment will later be transferred to Gazpom Neft under a financial leasing arrangement.
