In August, Azov-Black Sea ports reach monthly high of 28.5 mt on record handling of grain and grain products

In August, transshipment soared to the highest level of the month(28.53 mt) for the last few years and added 2.9 mt m-o-m at theAzov-Black Sea ports. The hike in the overall handling has resultedfrom a notable rise in grain and grain product shipments primarily.Transportation of other cargoes grew less considerably.Russian ports handled 16.1 mt of various cargoes over themonth (up 417,000 t). Ports located in the Gulf of Taganrog and onthe Taman Peninsula raised transshipment by 511,000 t to 2.55mt and by 115,000 t to 1.2 mt, respectively. At Tuapse port, on thecontrary, it fell by 223,000 t from the previous month, to 1.38 mt.
