A field experiment to study the effect of integrated use of inorganic fertilizers, biofertilizers and urban compost on hybrid rice production was conducted on farmer's field at Doddabettahalli, Bangalore district during kharif 2004 and 2005. Application of 4.25 t urban compost + 50:50:50 kg NPK ha~(-1) + Azotobacter + P-solubilizers resulted in highest grain yield (61.41 q/ha) which was on par with 8.5 t urban compost + 50: 50 kg PK ha~(-1) + Azotobacter + P- solubilizers and 4.25 t urban compost + 5
