摘要

A study was conducted to estimate variability parameters for grain yield, ethanol yield and their attributing characters in 20 germplasm accessions of sweet sorghum. High per cent of GCV and PCV were observed for traits like nodes per plant, panicle weight, grains per panicle, grain yield, cane height, juice volume and ethanol yield. All the characters except whorl nodes per panicle and juice pH exhibited high broad sense heritability coupled with high genetic advance as per cent of mean. The study identified SSV 84 as best grain yielding and NSSV 219 as ethanol yielding genotypes.
