CBH Group is setting its sights on a 12 million tonne harvest this season — including some zone records. With good rains across Western Australia in recent months, the grain handler is optimistic an above average harvest across the board is on the cards. Operations general manager Colin Tutt said despite an extremely dry outlook at the start of the year the rain has seen the season's prospects become more favourable and it is likely CBH could nearly double last year's receivals of 6.5 million tonnes. "Conditions are exceptional in the Geraldton zone at present and with conditions remaining favourable over coming months we expect deliveries across the state to be significantly revised upwards. The growth over the last month has been very pleasing,"Tutt said.
