NSW researchers are suggesting farmers sow sunflowers while the sun is shining with recent trials revealing the summer crop can provide farmers with greater rotation choice by nicely complementing crops such as sorghum. Sunflowers are expected to become a more important summer crop in northern New South Wales according to recent research carried out by New South Wales Industry and Investment (formerly NSW DPI) and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research.
