I had a dream... it all began back in 1980 when, as an eight year-old, I stayed up (really, really) late with my old man to watch Alan Jones clinch the Formula One World Championship. I'd grown up with petrol in my blood well before then, but that bleary-eyed moment cemented my desire to grow-up and become a racing car driver. Then, about 14-years later, I realised that I had grown-up and, surprise, surprise, instead of sitting on the grid at Monaco or blasting across the top of Mount Panorama I was moonlighting as a wannabe motoring hack in between scrubbing dishes and pulling beers.
