A part-time movie producer whose documentary films have been nominated for an Oscar and an Emmy, cytopathologist David Kaminsky, MD, uses aesthetics as the lens through which he views both science and life. Whether he is attending gourmet cooking schools in Italy and France or lecturing on medical imagery in Japan, Dr. Kaminsky's equal love for art and science has given him a rare vantage. In his presentations to other scientists, he will use a detail from a Gustav Klimt painting or a panel from the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Spain, to illuminate the architecture of the cellular world.
