Just a few short years ago new corn and soybean herbicides were being introduced in such comparatively large numbers that it was hard to keep track of the names. But times have certainly changed. Today it appears that the combination of herbicide industry downsizing, mergers and other developments has drastically slowed the pace of new product introductions. This year only a handful of new herbicides are being introduced. Most of them involve formulation changes or new premixes of existing products.There's little to speak of in the way of totally new chemistry.
