The production of natural rubber (NR) in October 2013 was recorded at 61,489 tonnes. It decreased by 10,807 tonnes (-14.9%) when compare to the previous month, whilst year-on-year showed a decrease of 22,102 tonnes (-26.4%). The major contributor of NR was from the smallholding sector with 92.1 per cent while the estate sector contributed only 7.4 per cent. This month's main producers of NR in estates were Negeri Sembilan (22.1%), followed by Perak (17.4%), and Johor (16.5%) (Table 14).
