ADM'S ETHAN0L RESULTS REMAIN WEAK

US agribusiness major Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) reported a weak result from its ethanol plants for Jul/Sep 2015. Its Bioproducts division reported an operating profit of $40 mln, down $3 mln on the quarter and the weakest result since late 2012 due to the unchanged low margins. While demand for ethanol domestically and from overseas markets remained solid, industry production levels were also strong, resulting in high industry inventory levels, which kept margins considerably lower than last year, ADM said.
