ABENGOA'S ETHANOL BUSINESS SUFFERS FROM WEAK CRUSH SPREADS

Abengoa said the results from its Bioenergy division for Jan/Mar 2015 suffered from weak crush spreads in the US and the EU. Q1 2015 ethanol output fell by 8% on the year to 513 mln litres, with revenue down 10% on the year at EUR367 mln. Out of this total, EUR224 mln came from Europe, EUR 139 mln from the US market and EUR4 mln from Brazil.
