2014 BIODIESEL OUTPUT UP 17% ON THE YEAR

FAME production in Apr/Jun 2014 was 172,052 tonnes, official data showed. This was a record level for that time of the year and compares with 160,769 in the preceding quarter and 153,680 one year ago. The H1 2014 rose by 17% on the year to 332,821 tonnes. Helpful for producers were, the lower rapeseed oil prices and the antidumping duties on biodiesel from Argentina and Indonesia imposed in 2013.
