AGMIN SETS REFERENCE PRICES FOR FUEL ETHANOL STORAGE

Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture has fixed the reference price for fuel ethanol volumes to be stored under the federal government's program at BRL1.37 ($1 = BRL2.136) per litre for anhydrous grades and BRL1.21 for hydrous grades, according to Agencia Estado. The intervention period started in May and runs until November in the South/Southeast region, the Centre/West and in the states of Ceara, Maranhao, Para, Piaui, Tocantins plus in the municipalities of Juazeiro and Medeiros Neto in the state of Bahia. Producers will receive their payments in Feb/Apr 2014.
