FAME production in Argentina in May 2013 amounted to 120,173 tonnes, down from 161,051 in April, which had been the highest monthly total since the less beneficial cuts in the reference price and the changes in export tax differentials last August. However, the Jan/May 2013 total is still down sharply on the year (670,782 tonnes vs. 1.184 mln; Jan/Dec 2012: 2.455 mln). The biggest market share in Jan/May 2013 output had Renova with almost one quarter. Molinos and Patagonia Bioenergia remained offline, industry sources reported.
