ENERGY MINISTRY CUTS OIL FUND LEVY ON GAS0H0L

The Thai Energy Policy Committee has agreed to reduce the oil fund contribution on premium gasohol and to subsidise regular and E-20 to widen the retail price gap between gasohol and pure gasoline. The oil fund levy on premium gasohol is to be reduced to THB1.40 ($1=THB29.958) per litre from THB2.40. Regular gasohol and E-20 will receive a THB1.50 per litre subsidy. The new levy will become effective August 31 and will bring down the retail price of premium gasohol to the same level as gasoline 91.
