CTP plant gives life to Kimberley operations

The De Beers board of directors has given the go-ahead for the construction of a R6, 10-million diamond recovery plant in Kimberley.De Beers chairman, Nicky Oppenheimer says the construction of the new combined Treatment Plant (CTP), will have a significant positive impact on the life of the remaining Kimberley Mines and the continued mining presence of De Beers in the Kimberley area. "This project will ensure that De Beers will continue to play an important socio-economic role in Kimberley and throughout the Northern Cape for many years yet."
