Nominations are being accepted for the Antoine M. Gaudin Award and the Milton E. Wadsworth Extractive Metallurgy Award. Both awards are presented by SME's Mineral & Metallurgical Processing Division. Any SME member may submit a nomination for either award. A new nomination for a candidate must be submitted each year. The Gaudin Award was established to honor the late Professor Gaudin and those who have furthered the understanding of mineral processing through individual achievements. Areas eligible for consideration for the Gaudin Award are agglomeration, classification, comminution, electrical and magnetic separation, froth flotation, hydrometal-lurgy, particle behavior and other related mineral processing operations. Nominations for the Gaudin Award must be sent by June 1,2012 to Matt Bender, Gaudin Award Committee chair, e-mail matt.bender@newmont.com.
