"I'm off to a meeting", "I'm in a meeting", "I was in a meeting": daily utterances from business people up and down the country -in fact, across the world. Meetings, love them or hate them, are a significant part of our business lives, but sometimes (quite often, if we're honest) we could do without them. Time-consuming, too frequent, and - occasionally - pointless, is it any wonder they get such a bad press? How often have you come out of a meeting thinking "that was a waste of time"? Invariably, this is the view not just of those attending a meeting, but of those who organised it.
