A wealth of free information--LOCAL EXPLORATION COMPANIES CAN LEARN ABOUT B.C. AND YUKON PROJECTS WITHOUT LEAVING THEIR OFFICES

Exploration and mining companies considering projects in British Columbia and Yukon have many free (and almost free) sources of information to choose from to help them perform their due diligence. Maps, geological and seismic data, reports and even opinions are all available for the asking from associations, government and private bodies, and most of it is online. In addition, there are conferences and meetings where mineral explorers can get together and exchange news and views. One of the best sources of free information are public (or "pre-competitive") geological surveys. David Lefebure, chief geologist of the British Columbia Geological Survey, says these surveys are important to both government and industry.
