Cash costs, land access, replacement of ore reserves and resources, new discoveries, the price of gold, investment malaise and a lack of working capital for the smaller companies looks set to haunt the industry in 2001, according to Sons of Gwalia Ltd executive chairman, Peter Lalor.However, Lalor, also deputy chairman of the Australian Gold Council and noted gold watcher, said the Australian gold market would continue to be resilient.
