Specialists in plastic lined dams, Mini Dredging Pty Ltd, has quickly expanded into the Queensland and New South Wales coal sectors through its association with BMA Coal Ltd. The group picked up its first job with BMA at the Broadmeadows coal mine in July 2004, and more recently has secured work at the coal alliance's Wambo Creek development in New South Wales. Mini Dredging has been in operation since 1994 and, since its inception, has undertaken numerous dredging projects across Australia. The group has a core number of experienced personnel with a combination of around 45 years in the dredging business and has also undertaken work for WMC Resources Ltd (now BHP Billiton Ltd), Rio Tinto Ltd at the Argyle diamond mine in Western Australia and Anaconda Nickel Ltd (now Minara Resources Ltd) at the Murrin Murrin nickel mine. Based in the WA suburb of Bibra Lake, dredges are custom-built and robustly engineered.
