Option gives Perseus foothold in prime gold address

Perseus Mining Ltd has been granted 'an option to acquire the Ayanfuri gold mine and surrounding areas on the Ashanti Gold Belt, situated 25 kilometres south west of AngloGold Ashanti Ltd's Obuasi mine in Ghana. The Ayanfuri gold mine produced more than 300,000 ounces of gold from a shallow oxide heap leach operation that started in 1994 where 23 pits were mined with most production from six granitoid intrusive ore bodies ranging from 200 metres to 500m in length and 30m to 120m in width.
