The dispersion characteristics of asymmetric multiconductor lines in shielded suspended substrate (SSS) are evaluated using hybrid-mode formulation, The numerical procedure, based on full-wave modal analysis, is formulated to compute all the frequency-dependent normal-mode parameters for asymmetric multiconductor lines in a suspended substrate structure. The numerical results include the propagation constants, modal characteristic impedances, and attenuation constant. The perturbation formula has been used for the calculation of conductor and dielectric losses in the suspended substrate structure. Conductor loss is computed for the finite thickness using the perturbation theory and a comparison plot is provided to validate results, Dispersion characteristic of asymmetric three and four coupled microstrip lines in SSS are presented first time in this paper.
