Tokyo dealers open tender floor price in bid to raise prices

Ferrous scrap dealers in the Tokyo area are calling tenders for another 8,000 tonnes of H2 grade material for August-September export shipment. Members of the Kanto Tetsugen, the scrap dealers' group that includes companies such as Nakadaya Co, have so far shipped over 20,000 tonnes of steel scrap to Korea and Taiwan this year. The destination of the latest consignment will be determined by the bid winner. The tendering deadline is August 23.
