About the project: This 2.3 million sq. ft. resort and convention center is steeped in Texas decor and style. Located on a peninsula along Lake Grapevine, the 480 million dollars state-of-the-art facility features 1,511 guestrooms with 127 luxury suites. It has climate-controlled atriums with acres of indoor gardens, winding pathways and waterfalls. The Lone Star Tower is a smaller "hotel within a hotel" with 476 lavish guestrooms. The facility also has 400,000 sq. ft. of meeting, convention and exhibition space on one level. Seventy breakout rooms, an 80,000 sq. ft. outdoor special event lawn and three ballrooms can accommodate groups of nearly any size. On-site audio-visual and decorating companies, resort coordinators and full-service business center are all available. World-class amenities include a 25,000 sq. ft. spa and salon, water sports, several unique restaurants and lounges, and nearby shopping and golf. The Glass Cactus, a 1,000-seat entertainment venue will be completed later this year.
