Double orifices of a single major papilla of vater: a rare case report. Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates

The endoscopy nurse has a role of assisting the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to promote optimal patient outcomes by team collaboration {Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, 2005). Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is one of the most challenging and risky procedures performed in gastrointestinal units (Zuccala, 2006). The ERCP team at the NKC Institute, Songklanagarind Hospital, Thailand, managed 473 cases in 2005. hi particular, a case involving double orifices of a single major papilla of Vater was found in one of our patients, and the case description follows.
