Kenyan exports continue to grow

Exports of Kenyan fruits and vegetables have grown steadily over the years. As competition from North Africa increases the Kenyans have the experience to adapt to a changing market place. Exports of fruits and vegetables from Kenya have achieved signi ficant gains in fresh exports in recent year. Although growth has not been as spectacular as that of cut flowers, the combined fruit and vegetable exports have risen 250 % since 1982. From 1996 to 2003 the increase in total exports for fruits (41%) and v egetables (48%) has virtually remained parallel.
