Harvesting tomatoes and fish from the same greenhouse is not a new concept but as water becomes scarcer and production systems more expensive, and as global consumption of fish increases while sea supplies decrease, Priva introduces a sophisticated system to simultaneously produce fish and vegetables. An eco-friendly closed system for the simultaneous production offish and vegetables would allow double use of space, energy and water and provide two crops to harvest. But is it technically possible, let alone economically feasible and sustainable?
