RO TECHNOLOGY BOOSTS QUALITY AND CUTS COSTS FOR BREWERIES

Reverse osmosis technology is helping to improve the quality and flavour of beer. A water purification sys- tem, Elite Plus, developed by UK-based Purite (www.purite.com), uses the technology which also helps cuts costs and ensures consistent machine op- erating time. The units incorporate semi-permeable membranes through which pressurised feed water is passed to remove up to 98% of inorganic ions and 99% of dissolved organic contaminants.
