Seismic reservoir characterization of distributary channel sandstones in the Lower Cretaceous Paluxy reservoir, Delhi Field, Louisiana

Delhi Field is a producing oil field located 30 miles east of Monroe, Louisiana (Figure 1). Discovered in 1944, the field is estimated to contain 357 million barrels of original oil in place (Powell, 1972). Up to November 2009,192 million barrels had been produced. The primary target is the Holt-Bryant sandstone reservoir. The field has undergone primary production (1944-1953), secondary waterflood recovery (1953-1980), and since November 2009 is now producing through tertiary CO, flooding.
