Honeywell is helping companies realise genuine business benefits from phasing out and removing the hydrochlorofluorocarbon(HCFC)refrigerant R-22 from their refrigeration and air conditioning plants ahead of regulatory requirements.Since the eradication of chlorofluorocarbons,the HCFC replacement R-22 has become a target because of its environmental impact.For food manufacturers this brings a significant operational headache.Conversely,it also represents a major opportunity to help resolve two major issues currently facing the industry-environmental conformity and the rising cost of energy.
