Phasing out methyl bromide in Mexico takes time

Mexico is one of the largest remaining users of methyl bromide. Aware of the negative consequences for the environment, health and market, however, growers are working on alternatives. One of these alternatives is improving the natural defence mechanisms of the soil. A tour among growers made it clear how they are putting this into practise. Our guide for the tour to visit the growers working on improving the natural conditions of the soil as an alternative for methyl bromide was Javier Migoya.
