The 'Preparation of Mineral Raw Materials' Teaching and Research Department at RWTH Aachen

The "Preparation of mineral raw materials" (PMR) teaching and research department at RWTH Aachen is the only university institute throughout the country, which deals exclusively with the preparation of mineral raw materials. Practical and application-oriented research work in the entire spectrum of mineral raw materials (ores, stones and earth, industrial minerals, coal, mineral residual materials) is carried out in close collaboration with plant constructors and operators. The PMR has a well-equipped research unit, in which tests and development work in the field of crushing, screening, sorting and dewatering of mineral materials in virtually all known processes up to pilot plant size can be realised.
