摘要

PCA fibre manufactured with copper-containing thermal stabilizers retain initial strength better with prolonged heat treatment.The best results were noted for samples with 2-MeBI + CuCl_2 + MgCl_2 thermal stabilizer.Fibres containing a Bulgarian thermal stabilizer lose strength more rapidly than the others and to the greatest degree.In treatment at high temperatures(205 deg C for 16 h),all samples lose almost half of the initial strength.The fibres made with the thermal stabilizers 2-MeBI + CuCl_2 + MgCl_2 have the highest resistance to repeated flexure and the lowest irreversible elongation.As a result of the comprehensive studies of the thermal stabilizers used in production of PCA cord fibres for tires,the thermal stabilizer 2-MeBI + CuCl_2+ MgCl_2 was found to be the most effective.
