Soybeans set export record

THE U.S. soybean harvest is essentially finished, and the focus of the soybean market now will turn to the outlook for U.S. demand and competing supplies in South America, according to the December "Oil Crops Outlook" by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service (ERS).In the December USDA crop reports, the 2014-15 U.S. soybean crop was estimated at 107.7 million metric tons, and total marketing year exports were forecasted at a record 47.9 mmt.
