Utilization of starch by lactating dairy cows.

摘要

In this article, the author discusses the benefits of adding starch in the formulation of feeds for dairy cows as well as how starch is utilize by lactating dairy cows in increasing milk yield. It was emphasized that starch fed must be balanced with fibre and other ration ingredients to avoid digestive upset and associated negative effects on cow health and production.
