This article discusses some of the latest developments in oxy-fuel applications in glass melters, including the recent conversions of two flat glass melters to 100 percent oxy-fuel, the rapid acceptance of supplemental oxy-boosting and the application of oxy-fuel burners to allow hot regenerator repairs.
