摘要

Thinking food prices are too low? Thinking the return to growers is too small? Thinking of selling? "Don't sell the farm," says Lester Brown, president of Washington-based World Watch Institute. Given current produce prices and urban sprawl, producersmight be tempted to sell their farms, but Brown paints a rather different picture of the future - one where demand for food far outstrips supplies and growers are left scrambling for ways to increase production, secure water, conserve soil and take advantage of high food prices.
