Food future sees demand outstripping supply: Despite present state of industry farmers urged not to sell the farm

Given current produce prices and urban sprawl, producersmight be tempted to sell their farms, but Brown paints a rather different picture of the future - one where demand for food far outstrips supplies and growers are left scrambling for ways to increase production, secure water, conserve soil and take advantage of high food prices.
