Managing director Mike Ro-senstreich said a technical team will carry out a study of mining and treatment options for the deposit about 80km south of Burnie in north-west Tasmania. The study is expected to be completed in about six months. Rosenstreich said the 2006 drilling programme had been scheduled to start on March 13 and will restart drilling on QRD1227 to test an interpreted copper-rich southerly plunge to the S-Lens mineral resource. Drilling on this hole stopped at Christmas at a depth of 158m and about 15m above the target position. And providing the company with more encouragement has been the identification of 13 target areas prospective for high-grade Hellyer or Que River-style base metals deposits. The Que River project comprises the historic high-grade zinc-lead-silver-gold lenses mined by Aberfoyle Resources in the 1980s.
