FY 2012 Budget Includes Funding Increases for Key DOE Agency

The fiscal-year 2012 budget request for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) includes US$124 million for the widely-utilized Energy Information Administration (EIA). The increase would improve EIA's capabilities to respond to a growing need for reliable energy data, analysis and forecasting. If approved, the 2012 budget would represent an increase of $13.4 million from the fiscal-year 2010 current appropriation level.
