Fall 2013: Another year, another DNP. Are we doing it right?

I am not using this editorial to engage in the debate about whether or not we should have a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and/ or whether or not it should be entry level. Rather, as we approach yet another academic year I want to simply raise some thought and discussion about using the development of DNPs and DNP programs as an opportunity to improve care to older adults. That to me is much more important than whether or not a DNP is required to be a good nurse practitioner!
